Introducing diffrent age chicks to each other?

I would keep the new chicks together and add the older chicks one at a time after keeping them near each other for a day or two so they can hear and smell each other.

I'm not an expert but the above advice sounds good! I was going to do that but my nephew kinda put them all in together before I had a chance and there were no problems. That was this morning. They are still all getting along fine and other than size diffrence, you wouldn't really know any of them were "new" to the group.

Let us know how it goes!!

Two weeks isn't a big difference in age. I've put day olds together with up to three week olds before - just put them together - and they did fine. I pulled up a chair and sat there and watched for the about an hour to make sure everything went just fine. Chicks don't seem to have the pecking order issues older birds have. Your younger birds are already 3 - 6 days old - so they're already eating and drinking. I think they'll do great.

The younger they are, the easier it is to integrate the two groups. But I always keep them separated physically, if only by a piece of hardware cloth in the brooder for a few days, to give them time to meet each other from a safe distance before letting them mingle. This is particularly important the older they get. Adding new flock members is very stressful for older birds and should be done deliberately & slowly. I wrote a little blog post about my 'playpen method' of integration that you may find useful:

Congratulations on all your new babies, enjoy!!

We have four, two week old chicks. Tomorrow we are adding two more to our flock. I beleive they are 3-6 days old. Can I just add them to the brooder or will there be issues?
Thanks in advance
