introducing ducklings to ducklings...

Hello I have never had ducks before I recused 3 that are all different sizes and breeds I think
The smallest keeps pecking them by the wings and tail and the biggest one pecks the smallest very hard not sure if this is how they greet or tell who's boss would be great if anyone can take the time to try and help thank you

Their adorable. How long have they been together? Are they drawing blood or just working out the pecking order?

They are pecking no blood they all rush to eat and drink also I have no idea if they are males or females

To young to tell sexes yet. Most likely just pecking order especially since they all are laying together so nicely do you keep food out for them 24/7? At their age they need food around the clock and water too. Do you livewhere it’s warm enough to take them outside with supervision so they can get some exercise sometimes pecking means boredom too.

I am having issue introducing ducklings together too. But it is like a gang of the Welsh Harlequin vs. the Rouen and Wry Neck babies. The WH are only a week apart from each other. I at first thought it was because of size but they don't bother the little wry neck guy who is smaller than the others it just seems to be because she is the only odd duck out.

Yes I have pan of chick crumb and tray of water in there full time

There is another member having the same problem it's one breed against her lil Muscovy duckling. @Shannonw1228 has been working on this with hers hopefully she can help ya'll out.

Your Brooder is too small and not pecking order. It's noodling. Ducks learn by touching each other. They need way more space to run around and play. They are adorable.

Yes at the moment their in an indoor rabbit hutch only had them a few days and was not expecting to have ducks at all
I do have chickens in the garden in a huge coop and they have the whole garden when day time
Aiming to build another one for the ducks thanks x
