Introducing ducks?

Alright i let them free range together for an hour, they did fine! besides a few hisses and nips they got along, she followed them around, my smaller Muscovy did fine with her although my drake was unsure at first.. but they eventually got it and went swimming together.

That’s great to hear!! My Muscovy have always been pretty accepting of other ducks here. Maybe some pics when you get a chance?

Of course! possibly tomorrow since my mallard is done free ranging and would much rather be with the chickens.. I honestly don't know why.. would it be because she was the only duck on the farm and had to stay with the chickens or because i introduced her to the chickens first?

If she was kept with chickens from the beginning most likely she associates more with them. It may take her a while to realize she likes being a duck.

Alright, The problem with her liking the chickens though is her and my lavender orpingtons don't see "eye to eye" The lavender's don't hurt her but they give her a "warning cluck" my lavenders are my oldest chickens being 6 months and everyone else being 3 months.

You might want to watch that then chickens can make some pretty nasty injuries to ducks including eyes.
