The large coop is so we can all fit in there WITH the chickens

I think thats part of the reason our introduction went so well, there was a couple of chest butting, and a couple of pecks - but overall, everyone is happy!

Well, Kernel isn't too happy when we catch him and pick him up - they've not been handled much at all, at least he doesn't FLAP around, but he does look a little embarassed when we put him down!

Well, I'll have to get another chicken for Creamed Corn!

It was a toss up - a difficult choice for sure!

Thanks Ma, that poor chicken Sandra - is the apparent BABY of the group, and my little one has to carry her around and scratch the top of her head everytime we visit.
The chicks are getting a little big for her to pick up and hold - she's going to have to figure out another way to baby Sandra pretty soon!

Cali, the RIR - thinks my son is the rooster - she won't leave him alone, he loves it, she's sat on his head before and tried to clean his teeth this morning!

My husband said he thought he heard something this morning, and right now I heard him, I had to go outside to get a good clear listen of the CROW - I'm so excited!
