Hi everyone, I first got chick's around Easter 2021. We started out with 22 chickens. Out of that original group we have 2 roosters and 4 hens left. We had a dog to chase half the flock off, 2 was ran over while free ranging, and 2 flew in our dog pen. I have just started incubating and I am so excited to get everything going.
Right now I have:
a barn yard mix of 14 and 2 of those have feather feet that are 2 weeks old and 2 of this group is only 3 days old.
1 RIR Rooster
4 Barred Rock - 2 Hens 2 Roosters (a year old)
1 Brahma Hen ( a little over a year old)
2 Golden Comet hens ( 1 is just old enough to lay eggs and one is from Easter time frame 2022)
2 Black Australorp hens (1 from April 2022 and the other is from April 2021)
1 smokey pearl hen (from April 2022).
I have a total of 26.
My other hobbies are my garden, crocheting, & drawing.
I have 5 kids, 2 grandkids and one on the way. I am happily married.
We have 3 cats, 9 dogs, and 1 Egyptian Euromystasis Spiked tailed lizard.
I found BYC on google.
