Introducing my baby chicks to the older roosters

My baby chicks are about 4 1/2 wks old, when is a good time to be able to put them in with my 2 roosters (batam silkies)?

I would not try it until they were all about the same size, and I would have them living next to each other where they could see and hear each other for a few weeks first. Then I'd either put them on the roost together just after dark, or turn them loose in a large area with hiding places together, and distract them with treats.

I did put them in their own pen, and they escaped into the rooster pen, the rooster didn't do anything, but I did gather them all back up and put them in their own pen. and fixed where they escaped from, hopefully I can let them together a little each day when i can watch them carefully.
