Hi there- I just wanted to say hi to my fellow chicken lovers. My mom and I got into chickens a few months ago when a friend gave us two Cochins. Within a few months we were up to about 30 chickens, most of which we are starting from chicks. All are doing good now, though we lost 2 Marans and a Cochin.
We recently got a Welsummer roo, and a 10 x 16 coop, if you can call it that's it's more of a barn- to accommodate our colorful flock. We've got 6 Marans, 6 Easter Eggers, 4 Bramas (2 Light, 2 Dark,) a Dominique, a Welsummer (hen), a Leghorn, an Australorp, a Favorelle (Favorolles?) 2 Silkie crosses, a Rhode Island White and I'm thinking of hatching some bantam eggs. We are planning on starting up a 'Rainbow Egg' buisness. Any suggestions for a good starter bantam? I'm thinking Sebrights or Dutch bantams... Thanks for lookin' and farewell, chicken chums!

and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have a really nice flock! Sorry about the chicks you lost, it is hard to lose the little ones. X2 on check out the Member reviews on the bantam breeds you are interested in
