Hi everyone, I've come to this site often for advice about my chickens, and finally joined up today. Have a couple of sick chickens that I'm trying to nurse. So thankful for all of the advice in the boards here. I have 2 rhode island reds, 1 jersey giant, 3 americaunas, 1 sexlink (I think she's about to die), 1 legbar, 1 speckled sussex, and 3 big fat buff orpingtons (seriously the fattest chickens, so cute though). We love their eggs, but they are all mostly pets. Oh, and we have a Rio Grande tom that we've had since he was a baby, and we just found a Rio Grande lady for him, hoping to have some baby turkeys soon. Nice to meet everyone!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about your sexlink.. Good luck with the turkey hatch.

Thanks for all of the welcome messages-one of our sick chickens did make a full recovery, but sadly, the other won't get the chance. Raccoons managed to get her and one other (my favorite little sweet one)last night. It's my first experience losing chickens to a predator, and boy, it's heartbreaking.
