(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family had a chicken when I was little, but that was the distant past. I've had my babies for three weeks now. :)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Well, I got them at Tractor Supply, so finding out for sure will have to wait till they're older. (I know 2 aren't what I was told, since they're growing up *white*, not Speckled Sussex.) They look like Rhode Island Reds and Austra White to me.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Googling local chicken laws led me to the list here, and then I dove in.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
All kinds of fiber arts, reading, kayaking and fishing, and a medieval recreation group called the Society for Creative Anachronism.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Two cats, who are very interested in the 'dinner and a show' they think I brought them. :)
