I see! .Well, be a full fledged rooster, as the opposite end is super unlikely to happen.

Hello there, and thanks. Just having them around was the primary reason of getting it started.Sounds like a beautiful flock with some lovely colored eggs. And, I'm with you; chicken-watching is a wonderful way to relax and renew.

Hello there. I posted some explanation below.Welcome to BYC. I have to ask how do you happen to have two and a half roosters ? What happened to the other half ?
Hello there, I posted some explanation on the half rooster down below.I was wondering the same thing...
Hi There, thanks, and wonder what part of France you are hailing from. If you like snow, well I hope you'll see some soon. The winter has just started. I live in Western NY where there is no shortage of snow, but the occasional severe and untimely cold may pose some challenges. Happy new your to you and family. Best of luck with your flock.Bonjourand welcome from France! Sounds like a lovely mixed flock you have! I would love to see all mine in the snow but we've been here 3 years and only had one light dusting (before I had my chickens!!)

Hi, we live in the Dordogne - so South West an hour or so east of Bordeaux. We don't get much snow here sadly although I have seen pictures of years where there has been quite large amounts but not for a long time! We have only had 3 winters and there has been reports of snow coming (to the point where I rushed out and spent €35 on sledges one year!!), last year we had a cm or 2 that lasted a few hours. One of the things the kids were excited about when we moved back to France from Oz wsa the snow so they are particularly sad! February is meant to be cold so we'll see - maybe 4th winter lucky!and wonder what part of France you are hailing from. If you like snow, well I hope you'll see some soon.
Sounds like wine country. Nice. Snow is nice too, but come mid winter, you get tired of it. For those of us living in rural areas, there is a good bit of work associated with that too. I wish some snow days for you and family in Dordogne in the upcoming weeks and months, and one more snow followed by a lot of sunshine and mild days for my neck of the woods. Cheers for now.Hi, we live in the Dordogne - so South West an hour or so east of Bordeaux. Absolutely we are wine country - obviously all the Bordeaux stuff to the west of us but we are very close to the gorgeous Bergerac vineyards! I can imagine it would get tiring. When we lived closer to the Pyranees we had one very cold winter with ice everywhere for a month and I was excited at the beginning and fed up within a week or 2!Sounds like wine country. Nice.
