Hi There, thanks, and wonder what part of France you are hailing from. If you like snow, well I hope you'll see some soon. The winter has just started. I live in Western NY where there is no shortage of snow, but the occasional severe and untimely cold may pose some challenges. Happy new your to you and family. Best of luck with your flock.

Hi, we live in the Dordogne - so South West an hour or so east of Bordeaux. We don't get much snow here sadly although I have seen pictures of years where there has been quite large amounts but not for a long time! We have only had 3 winters and there has been reports of snow coming (to the point where I rushed out and spent €35 on sledges one year!!), last year we had a cm or 2 that lasted a few hours. One of the things the kids were excited about when we moved back to France from Oz wsa the snow so they are particularly sad! February is meant to be cold so we'll see - maybe 4th winter lucky!

Sounds like wine country. Nice. Snow is nice too, but come mid winter, you get tired of it. For those of us living in rural areas, there is a good bit of work associated with that too. I wish some snow days for you and family in Dordogne in the upcoming weeks and months, and one more snow followed by a lot of sunshine and mild days for my neck of the woods. Cheers for now.

Absolutely we are wine country - obviously all the Bordeaux stuff to the west of us but we are very close to the gorgeous Bergerac vineyards! I can imagine it would get tiring. When we lived closer to the Pyranees we had one very cold winter with ice everywhere for a month and I was excited at the beginning and fed up within a week or 2!

Sounds liek a prefect wish - I hope we both get that! Happy new years!
