Introducing Myself

Hello everyone, Today was moving day for my barred rock hen after 5 weeks of recovery in my basement. She is laying again, picking, and scratching and is much stronger than when i tried to put her in the coop the first time. We moved the dog crate into the coop this morning and then her. The other hens were out free ranging when we made the move. She seemed pretty comfortable when I left the coop, scratching and picking around in the crate with the Delaware hen on the other side doing the same. Keeping my fingers crossed all turns out well for her and soon she can fully join the flock!

Hello everyone , I am very happy to report my hen is out of the dog crate and fully integrated back into the flock! She is eating with the others and sleeping on the roost. She is still a bit skittish when in the coop and there is scratch on the floor being eaten, but she is ok and no one else is attacking her. I dont hear much squabbling going on either , so i think we are past the hard part! I'm a happy Hen Pecked!
