Introducing Myself

It was a snap. They were over at my aunt in laws I didn't see it happen but I felt so completely compelled to bring the poor dear over and care for it. I got a little bandage on it and I have been able to get it to eat and drink I was just curious what natural pain remedy I could use. It can walk but not very well.
How old is the chick? Was his foot bleeding? I'd suggest starting a new thread so you can get more help. Some people on here come to specifically welcome the newbies.

It isn't very old....it has more feather than fluff I can't put an exact approximate age I'm sorry šŸ˜ž
No worries! If you've wrapped his foot up and it's not bleeding that much he should recover. Pictures are always very helpful if you are able. Keep the cut clean so it doesn't get infected. Depending on the severity bandages may not be necessary. Wishing him a speedy recovery!

Did you clean the wound?
Gently wash with warm water and soap. Dry gently. Put some antibiotic cream on it (the kind without pain reliever...that's very important, you don't want the chick to absorb the pain reliever. It would be too strong for it.)
If you can find some self adhesive bandage wrap, use it. You may have to cut it into a smaller strip. The compression will help prevent swelling. Make sure it isn't too tight. Repeat the antibiotic ointment and rewrap twice a day. If the trap was used, there is a higher risk of infection.

Thank you so very much. I really appreciate it
