Thankyou for the kind words. About the time I finished the wooden brooder I immediately regretted not making it 1 1/2 times bigger. I think it’s roughly 4’ x 2’ and 3 1/2’ tall and they grew so fast that by the time I finished the coop and run they were nearly matured. We ended up just letting them roost in the brooder inside the garage with the top open for the last week or so. I didn’t have the heart to close the hatch on em. The thing about building a coop is you have to be completely finished before you can move em in. It was stressful trying to make a respectable product as fast as I could because there are living breathing animals in nearly unacceptable conditions waiting on you. I enjoyed taking a stab at building something different though. And everyone survived!Hiya, and welcome to BYC!
I love the brutal honesty of your intro. Beautiful coop, run, and brooder! Your brooder looks just like the two hubby made for me. Ours sit counter top height though as I'm old and didn't want to bend over at all to take care of them. When you get older, you can add leg extensions.
