4 Leghorn, one Buff Orpington and one Rhode Island Red,all hens. Two Buff Orpington Roosters. Thats the old flock. New flock is 6 Red Sexlinks hens and one Jersey Giant looks like a rooster. New flock is about 13 weeks old and has been living in the same coop, but in a separate fenced off area so both flocks can see each other for a couple weeks. Any thoughts on when to take the fence down, morning , night or whenever just let them out and let the pecking order begin ? I wanted to do this today so I have a 3 day weekend to monitor the flock influx before I go back to work.

It may work fine. You never know til you try. However, that's really too many roos for that number of hens; one would be enough.
