Introducing new Cane Corso puppy, Retta!

My Cane Corso is great with my birds! We adopted him at 3 years old and he has never bothered them, though he does get nervous when they follow him around 😁. Also great with kids and cats, just not other dogs. Good choice in breed. She is beautiful and I really like her name.
Thanks! I know she has corso in her because I saw the parents but something tells me, she's Momma's baby but Daddy's maybe! My son said she should be given a Italian name. ha,ha. so he picked it out. But I'm sure she thinks her name is come here, stop and quit it! You'll have to share a pic of yours!

Yes, that little white silkie hen is the boss!

Her father was a big 125 lb corso looking more like the massif type and the mother was about 80 pounds looking more like the Italian boxer type. There's allot of diversity in the breed.
Personally, I'm quite sure she has some American pit-bull tossed in there. Maybe a handsome stranger jumped the fence. :idunnoThe older she gets the more pit-bull looking she's become. But she's a keeper and a I'm pretty mixed myself so I better not judge! He,he! ;)

Nothing wrong with a good mix so long as its priced accordingly. And you may yet find that her head will fill out some as she matures. Many large breed bully types won’t have a head that properly fills and rounds out until the end of their second year.

This is Brunson. He’s a deliberate mix of French mastiff, Neopolitan mastiff, English bulldog, and pit bull. He’s about 8 months old in the pictures. As you may know, the Neapolitans are the primary ancestor of the Cane Corsos. He’s an attempt at creating a new line of “old English” bulldogs. This generation is something reminiscent of an American bulldog. One more cross to an English bulldog would probably get the next generation looking the part of an athletic English bulldog.

He’s got the floppy ear thing going on too. I think his head will fill out a lot and will end up being massive. Right now he’ll look like a boxer or a pit bull from some angles and a mastiff or English bulldog from other angles.

Oh what a handsome bully! He has such a sweet face.
I have a shepweiler that had gigantic radar ears as a puppy and she grew into them and now she looks like a over grown cattle dog , so I was thinking Beretta would grown into her wonky ears as well. She's only 6 months and 50 pounds so she still has a way to go. You'll have to post some pics as yours mature. He has a well balanced body that is way more flattering than the Olde English or English. 👍

Omg how did I miss this?!? What a cutie!
How's training going now?
Training is going good. I'm not as worried about the her with chickens as I am with her and the eggs! She is a bonafide egg thief! I guess she see's me gather them and thinks it should be her job too!
I had a silkie go off on her own and hide out a batch of eggs and I heard a commotion and thought, "OMG Beretta has the chicken!" but when I ran to see the horror, it was the silkie chasing her because she stole one of her eggs! :lau
