Introducing new Cane Corso puppy, Retta!

Awwwe thanks! It is quite the oxymoron how the most contradictory part of her makes her the more endearing!

It makes her....her and I think the ears are wonderful!
But then I am fond of crazy ears lol.

River thinks big ears are just fine.

Training is going good. I'm not as worried about the her with chickens as I am with her and the eggs! She is a bonafide egg thief! I guess she see's me gather them and thinks it should be her job too!
I had a silkie go off on her own and hide out a batch of eggs and I heard a commotion and thought, "OMG Beretta has the chicken!" but when I ran to see the horror, it was the silkie chasing her because she stole one of her eggs! :lau

My redbone coon hound is an unreformable egg thief. Best I could do was restrict her access to the main coop. If she finds a free range nest, its fair game. That policy tends to encourage the chickens to either lay in the coop or hide their nests really well.

😍 LOL! River looks like the hush puppy dog with all that saggy skin! So adorable!

Thanks. :D We think she is pretty amazing. She was just 5-6 months old there but I love that pic. She is even saggier now at a full year old. :lau

I adore that shot of your sweet dog with that ear flipped over the forehead. So goofy and sweet. She looks very happy.:)

Does she know leave it yet? I taught my Yorkie that at a young age and she does great with it now. Just don't use it on things like her own toys or food. Use 'wait' or 'drop it' for those things instead.

She knows aaaaatt!!! (most of the time that is) Which is my version of leave it. 😁 our yard is pretty much like Sanford and son's junk yard so when she tries to pick up something out of bounds I use the aaaattt! and she leaves it. I don't let her have free range yet, she might get the puppy crazies! I do need to work on ,drop it. Being a bully breed she does not like to drop her toys when fetching; she'd rather play tag or tug of war.🙄
