Hi
We've got 9 chickens. They've got a big coop, which stands in an old big orchard. The orchard is fenced in but the birds still go wherever they want. We probably didn't clip the wings right.
We've now got a second coop, a few metres away from the big one. It's smaller and will take 6 chickens comfortably. We've already arranged to get 6 young P.O.L. chicks. Is it really necessary, to fence off an area just for the new birds? The orchard is big and there is no problem for them to stay out of each others way.
I'd be grateful for any info.
Thanks
Linda
