Introducing new chicks to a flock.

I hatched a few chicks a couple months ago and I want to put them outside with my older chickens. They are about half the size of the older chickens. For now I have the young ones in a small quail pen inside the coop. Is this the best method of introduction? Anything else I need to keep in mind?

How old are the older ones? If they are much older it is probably not the time for the little ones to go in yet.

The older ones are 15 weeks old and the new ones are 7 weeks old.
