Introducing new chicks to my flock

Hello! I have been raising a group of young chicks. Some are 6 weeks, some are 4. My question is.. how does one introduce them into my flock? My birds are very set in their ways with their group of 7, plus one rooster out there. They have a big coop, and a fenced in area to free range. I can't find any good pages on when and how to do this. Any suggestions?

It's safest to wait til they are all the same size. It helps if they live next to each other with some chicken wire in between for a month or so before the integration. The article has some tricks to use during the integration.
