Introducing new chicks to other chicks

I have 6, 6 week old chicks that have been outside in the coop for a week and a half now. I also have 3, 4 week old chicks that will need to move out into the coop soon. I have the younger chcks in a small exercise cage in the coop with the older chicks. I plan on doing this daily for about a week. Do you think they will be ok to let out with the older chicks in a week or so? I am ready to have my spare room/ toy room back. LOL!

intorducing them with the playpen is the best way, they get a chance to be around one another with out being able to hurt one another. since they are close in age in shouldn't be to hard to introduce them. be prepared for some pecking and squawking though. Good luck

Thanks! Today is the first day they have been so close. They were in separate brooders. Though the bigger ones did sometimes venture into the smaller brooder. We never had any isses then. Hoping everything goes well.
