I have 14 almost 3 week old chicks. We bought 6 more at TSC. The new ones are a week old. How do I introduce the younger ones to the older ones? How old do the younger ones need to be before I can put them with the others?

I have 3, 4, and 5 week olds all together now. This is what we did. Every night when we cleaned the brooder we took all the chicks out of the seperate brooders and put them in a box together. Then as the younger ones got bigger in size to what the older ones were, we would put them in the big brooder together for a little while and watched them. Thankfully we had no problems with introductions.

From everything I have read on here it's best if the brooder an be divided so that they can see each other, but can't get to each other and then u can take the divider out when the younger ones get some size to them. Good luck and enjoy!!
