Introducing new chicks

We introduced our (8) 6 week old chicks into our coop with one grown hen and one grown rooster last week. Today we found two dead chicks. The chicks were straight run so not sure of sex of the (8) have put them back in brooder with our (4) 4 week old female chicks. Suggestion appreciated

Did you introduce them slowly or just put them in right away? They need to make introductions very slowly so they can arrange their pecking order.

Put them in straight away but it's been a whole week and no problems until today??

They may have been pecking them before too. There are a lot of article on how to introduce them, perhaps they would be helpful
