At this age fighting isn't really the issue. Most chicks don't really start play fighting or going for dominance until they're a bit older, say 6 weeks.
However, the biggest problem is squashing. Big chicks can very easily squash smaller chicks to death, often not even knowing they're doing it regardless of how much the chick cries.
Trust me on this, when I was younger and naive, I had put different ages together and lost half of the small chicks from being crushed to death.
My advise is to wait a bit more to introduce them, because then size won't matter too much. Maybe cut the brooder in half for a few weeks until the new chicks are stronger. Plus, once they can get together, there should be minimal fighting between the two because they've seen each other for awhile.
