Introducing new duckling to duckling

Hi i have 2 cayuga ducklings that are 3 weeks old and im getting another duckling same age to add to them will they all get on or what do i have to do ??

You’ll need to set up a see no touch area your brooder will work just put something In so the two can see the new one and vise versa. They should accept the new one In a few days. With supervision let them be together out of the brooder offer some treats like meal worms or peas.

They will be okay but might neck tie and shiver before they are buddies. Do the introduction as they are playing outside..

What is neck tie and shivering? It sounds like something my silky boys do to my dog a lot.

They with stand tall and wrap their necks around each other and vibrate or shiver because they are scared and stimulated..Possibly a bit of chasing but definitely nothing too terrible.

Ah okay. Mine run their necks up my arm really fast sometimes, is that sort of the same thing?

When I introduced my new runner to the 2 week old they wanted to bully him so when I couldn’t watch I placed the new baby in his own little area inside the brooder but I sat with them a lot and had him with them after 3 days they were best of friends.

They might even just be totally happy and act like nothing is different and accepting the new Duckling like it was always there..
