introducing new ducks.

i bought a runner duckling around a month and a half years old. i introduced it to my female 9 month old peking. i thought they could become buddies. but when the little one runs towards my peking she runs away from her with her mouth open... what can i do to help this out?

As long as no one is getting hurt, I would just let them get used to each other. Ducks don't like change.

i hope they accept each other. i think one of the main problems is that my peking duck was raised with only chickens and has never seen another duck lol. so she is kinda freaking out.

Give them time. They will grow on each other. It might help to give them special time together when they both get treats or both get to swim or whatever it is they like to do . . . you know so they bond quicker. But really all you can do is wait and make sure no one gets picked on.

If you were wondering why I didn't respond right away, I am also reading in other forums, not just here.
