I have 3 Aussies (approx 2-3 yrs) in the coop (converted 10x12 stall) with my Rooster.
Also, in the coop, but seperate (in my Shepherd's old steel dog crate) are 3 young hens. 3 months old. They are getting quite big.
I was considering letting them together in a couple weeks, perhaps at 4 mos or so.
I've let them live in with the others for about a month so far, as they were old enough to put outside.
My Roo kinda hangs out with them a bit, but he's only a bit older at 6 months.
What is the average/safe age to intergrate young birds into the whole?

I integrated some of mine to the older girls at about 3 months old. They were a little smaller but not by alot and they did just fine. I also had mine in a large cage inside the coop for about 6 weeks. The older ones picked on them a bit for a few weeks but now they all roost together. I think they should do fine.

Thank you very much.
I'm still going to wait till at least this weekend so I can be home to supervise the crazy bunch.
