introducing newcomers to the flock

hi all i got 5 chicks and unfortunatly lost 3 and only have two i am thinking of adding 2 ducks and more chicks. How and when is the best time. i have two baby chicks about 3 weeks old

I'm sorry 3 of your 5 chicks died. Figure out why they died before you buy more.

Generally, chickens and ducks shouldn't be kept in close quarters with each other. Free roaming is fine.

thanks- we don't think there was anything contagious. i heard that duck and chickens were ok together
