So I've read of people doing this with broody hens, but would it work in this situation?
Mama hen had 2 chicks hatch 3 days ago, 1 chick hatched today. The new chick was cold and half dead when I found it, (she was busy feeding the older chicks and didnt want to sit on it I guess) but I put it under a heat lamp and its looking great now. I'd like to give it back to its mama, but I'm afraid she might reject it. I'm thinking I'll sneak it under her at night and hope for the best.
Any advice?
