Introducing small chicks to the other hens

Hi i've got two 6 month old red star hens, and I bought 2, 4 day old chicks on the 23rd of August which now are a month old, I was wondering when can i introduce them to each other and let them free range together in the garden. They older hens have seen the baby chicks threw the window but never been outside together.

The two chicks are in very good health and are growing well under a heated lamp, 1 white star and 1 blackrock.

You should wait until they are roughly the same size.

Most wait until 3 months or so.

I've had success with 2 months -but it depends on how they are introduced.
