Sugar FINALLY was showing definite signs of labor when we got home from errands at about 1:00 today (she's been on kidding watch for a week and a half because I had her breeding date wrong)- very vocal, pawing, panting and intermittent contractions. We set up chairs in the barn and by 3:00 the first kid was out. He was elbows back, but required no assistance. Number two was right on his heels and had her right foreleg back, so I pulled her.

The bucking is a black trimmed white agouti, just like daddy. I've named him Reeses Pieces, Reese for short. He is HUGE!

The doeling is the grey agouti. She's so cute and small. I've named her Whatchamacallit, Calli for short.

so so cute! I used to have sheep and I sure do miss them. Trying to talk the family into letting me get a few again now that we have a place to keep them if I just built some pens. I also want a large doe to have as a pet and sale her kids each year if I sent her out to a buck or borrow a buck.

It could be. Sugar isn't one of my milkers, but she does have a nice udder. She has smallish teats, though, a little harder on your hands. But - you have first dibs...so if you'd rather not wait on September and a baby out of Sarah or Marybelle...let me know

I will take this little one. I love the color and you may have bucklings next....Who knows.
Her mama looks to have good milk, so send me a email with paypal info. I know I will have to wait til she is weaned and that is just fine....
