I have been lurking here for about 3 years gathering information with the plan on building a coop and a run and getting our first chickens.
After clearing some property, over the last couple of months I have started the coop. Yesterday I bought most of my wood and spend the remainder of the day squaring out and leveling the four corner concrete blocks that I plan on aligning and leveling the remainder of the foundation blocks of the planned coop off of.
Knowing that we would want chickens for eggs, meat and pets, I designed and am building a large enough coop that will handle the size of our potential flock (with some extra room). Thanks all for the motivation to finally pull the trigger on building the coop. Im sure I have many questions in the future.
