Hello Everyone. I am a new member. I live in the Maine Woods in a 600 square foot cabin with my partner of 30 years. My chickens have a 120 square foot coop. Pound per pound they probably have more space than we do! I have a mixed flock, some breeds, some not. I am trying my second breeding experiment and have my first rooster. He is a gentle, sweet soul. I love my beautiful roo!

Hi and welcome to BYC. He's a stunner, for sure! I have also seen the hen that you plan to mate him with on another thread - she's equally as pretty. I wish you all the best with your breeding project.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

Welcome to Backyard chickens. How lucky you are to have a beautiful AND good rooster. They are so hard to come by.
