Introduction

The little ladies arrived a few hours ago - just the two of them. The white one was also a rooster.

I have them settled in the barn in their existing coop for now. Here are a few pictures of them. I think the one is a Golden Laced Wyandotte. The other one I don't know. It is black with a greenish hue and from the pictures of different breeds it looks similar to Jersey Giant, but it's the same size as the Wyandotte, so that doesn't seem right. They are ~5 months old and he said they started laying eggs about 10 days ago.

I posted some better pictures. The one I'm pretty sure is a Golden Laced Wyandotte. The other is less distinct. Possibly it's an Australorp? What do you think?

The picture is kind of blurry but I think the one is a golden laced Wyandotte. There a good breed I have 6 golden laced wyandottes.

I am so new, they all just look wonderful to me! I am not able to identify the breeds yet. We had to get breeds that would be ok with the Texas heat, so we got Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Barred Rocks .... and when I saw Stew (our tiny bantam rooster) run across the yard at the place where we picked up our girls, I fell in love with him. And, they were happy to have found a home for him. Carried him all the way home.

Yours look like "yellow" and "dark" to me, still! But, I hope to be able to ID them after learning more from these experienced folks :)
