Hi. I live in the mid Atlantic East Coast. I have eighteen chickens, five Columbian Rocks, three Americaunas, two Cuckoo Marans, one Bantam, two Wyandottes, four Americauna Columbian rocks, one Cuckoo Maran Columbian rock, and a Columbian Rock Rhode Island Red. I got my chickens last March, and just kept getting more because I love chickens so much. I enjoy spending hours out in the chicken pen sitting in the coop or on the run. Can't wait to get started here!

Welcome!

I see that you have found your way around the site quite well so I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Hi everyone. So far I'm having a great time here. I have a question: does anyone have Wyondottes? I have a gold laced and silver laced chicks that are about five weeks old and I just read that they can go broody often. I already have a Dutch Bantam who lays eight eggs and then wants to hatch and so I really don't need any more broody hens, but I love Wyondottes and have always wanted some. Do yours go broody a lot?
