Hi everyone. My name is Laura and I am new to chickens as of May. I have 5 chickens they and barred rock and one of them is all black (even it's feet and beak), 2 midget white turkeys, and 2 ducks(unsure of breed).

I found backyard chickens from a google search about some peck wounds on my poor turkey (his name is Hans)

I am currently living in northern Florida and going to school for ultrasound. My bf in school for dental and we have 2 cats, a German shepherd and all of our birds. We have 5 acres of land and our flock of free roaming during the day but they stay close to the house.

Hope this is a good enough intro! Thank you for the account and all the information I'm going to learn from this site!!!!
