In the Brooder
Hi, sorry if this isn’t right, but I’m new to the sight, and want to introduce myself, then maybe post a couple of questions on another thread.
Last spring, my husband and I surprised our 5 kids (who have never had pets but had been eyeing some chicks at a hardware store and begging) with 7 cute chicks on Easter morning. We lost one a couple months later (we were accidentally sold a Cornish hen...my kids were heartbroken...and have added 2 more). Since then, we’ve been learning as we go.
We have 1 White Leghorn, 2 Easter eggers, a Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, 2 Barred Rocks, and a Black Australorp. We’ve had so much fun learning about these guys and raising them, and my kids treat them like their babies.
We’ve loved all the wonderful eggs they’ve been laying the last few months as well. Looking forward to picking the brains of you seasoned chicken folks! Thanks in advance for the advice and community!
