Hey everyone,

My name is Nate and I live in Northern California. I am new to chickens and decided to do what seems to be the hardest thing out there.... incubate eggs. Luckily, one of my classrooms is doing a unit on eggs and bird growth so I was able to make it mesh. I've currently got 8 eggs that are intact and 1 more that arrived cracked (the 10th egg arrived completely destroyed). These eggs are in a Hovabator incubator that I purchased from a friend and I will plug in the automatic turner today (was told by the place I got the eggs from to let them rest for a day or so prior to turning them). Anyhow, I ordered a Brinsea Maxi-II Advance and want to do quail at home. I've got several chicks coming in the mail (none of the breeds I'm wanting are local) so we're already way over our chicken limits that we set. Chicken math is a real thing.

Who has done quail? How many days do you do quail for? Does the temperature change? Humidity?

Cheers,

Nate

Jump right in and make yourself at home.
I too am fixing to hatch quail. I think they hatch in 18 days.
