Hello everyone!

We just started with our Backyard Chicken Family we received our chickens about 4 weeks ago. We received them from our Niece.

We currently have two adult hens, one adult rooster and 15 chicks ranging in age from 3 weeks to 11 weeks.

We have a variety of chickens: Silky, Silky Cross, Cochin, Cochin Frizzle, Black Sex Links, and a Show Girl (Naked Neck)

We heard about backyardchickens by doing some research about chickens and came across the site.

I love to read, quilt, crochet, geocaching, and just hang out with family and friends.

Welcome to byc!

Welcome to BYC. Actually Showgirls are a variety of silkie, they do either have naked necks or bow tie fluff at mid(naked) neck. I don't believe they need another cross to turkens. But it would be best to check at the "Silkie thread." I think they look like exotic feather dusters and retain silkie traits like broodiness.
