Hi! Welcome to BYC! There is nithing wrong with putting a sink for hand washing near where you keep them. It's actually a good . Make it a deep sink with a sprayer nozzle in case chicken vent cleaning becomes necessary. Hope you enjoy it here!

Welcome to BYC! It could be dust. Chickens created dust. And having a place to wash after handling chickens is a very good idea.

So, I feel silly I think, because I didn’t have my glasses on I saw something I didn’t see today when they were on. Laura is missing feathers on her rump but I didn’t see the white fluff like I did.
