Welcome from Southeast Missouri! Do you live in horse country? Kentucky or Tennessee? I think you will find the chickens a peaceful and amusing past time. Plus eggs! And if they free range, they will eat bugs out of the lawn, so you will have fewer ticks and such.

I dont really think it would be called horse country even though there are several horse farms in my area. I live in a small community about 50 miles NW of Atlanta GA.
