Hi, we have had chickens off and on for the past 9 years. We have 20 chickens now with 14 Rohde island Reds, 3 Americanas, 2 bantams, and 1 Black austrilops. We have two girls ages 2 and 4 and we love involving them in the chores and handling the birds. Of coarse we eat a lot of eggs. We are on a fruit farm so they have a lot of space to roam. We love the outdoors and love to hunt and fish, we spend a lot of time growing, collecting and processing are own food. I have used Back yard chickens as a resource for years.
