(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, sort of. I got my first set of chicks 2 weeks ago and today i got 4 hybrid chickens. I saved them from a factory where they stayed in small cages to lay eggs. They are still young though.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 8

(3) What breeds do you have?
4 chicks- Barred Plymouth Rock
4 Hybrid- Dekald

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are fun to watch. Loveable and relaxing

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Drawing, writing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, gardening, fishing,

I had to look up a dekald. They look really interesting!

They are. The ones we rescued are so sweet and can jump really high. They lay jumbo size eggs and their eye color is just amazing. Reminds me of fire.
