My name is Stephany Greene. I live in the mountains of North Carolina with my fiance and his mom. Between the two of us, we have 14 chickens (we each have 7) and I have two turkeys. My mother in law has had chickens for YEARS and when my fiance and I started dating, she got me interested in raising chickens of my own. Along with out birds, we have four cats, three dogs, two turtles, two rabbits, and close to two dozen fish. I am an avid baker and I love having access to super fresh eggs. That is probably the biggest reason I wanted chickens. When we are not taking care of our mini farm, my fiance and I love to fish, hike, kayak and we both love cooking. We also brew our own beer. I work full time as the clinical documentation specialist and court liaison for a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for kids age 5-18.
