Forced participation is a poor way of boosting membership, but whatever.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens for about 3 years now, and i despise them.
Geese and ducks are my favorites.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 35 chickens, 16 Geese and 15 ducks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode island Whites, and Reds.
Pilgrim and American Buff geese.
Fawn and White Indian Runner Ducks.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Again, I despise chickens. The lack of any sort of intelligence is absolutely a turn off. I raise them for eggs.
If i had to say something was my favorite part or raising chickens, it's collecting eggs every morning.

Raising geese and ducks, talk about personality. They have more personality than most people i meet.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Poultry Breeding, computer and hardware engineering, mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, engine repair and building, hydraulics... etc.
"Farm Fabrication"

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Nah.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Google.
Close to 5 years.
I wanted to comment about geese... and instead, i'm answering a survey.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

You are certainly not forced to do an introduction, you were always free to start posting anywhere in the forums. But starting an intro helps most folks get a feel for BYC, meeting our Welcome Wagon and receive help where needed should you not know where to post a question.

All this said, I enjoyed your introduction and do welcome you aboard!
