Hello! My name is Hunter. My wife and I relocated from New Jersey to a very small, rural community in Georgia almost 3 years ago following our retirements. My wife was a teacher of 32 years and I owned and operated a tree service for almost 30 years. We live on 22 acres with our two dogs, seven cats, four goats and probably 100 chickens at any given moment. We have been raising Brahmas and Americanas most recently. We have had other breeds in the past, but decided on concentrating on these two breeds. I found BYC some time ago, when Googling a chicken issue. I even had a vet refer to it when he wasn’t sure of an answer! I had been using the site occasionally to answer questions, but wasn’t aware of actual membership. Since this site has been so helpful to us, I decided to check out a membership. Looking forward to learning even more with the help of my fellow chicken enthusiasts!
