Hello! My name is Ray.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens when I was a little kid, and then many years later I got ducks, and I just recently got a couple chicks.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 baby chickens, and 2 ducks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have a baby Golden Laced Wyandotte. 2 baby Barred Rock hens, and a baby Buff Orpington hen. I also have a cayuga duck hen, and a khaki campbell duck hen.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The chicken snuggles, I love snuggling with my birds.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy baking and drawing. :)


(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

A female chicken under the age of a year, would be considered a pullet, not a hen. Good luck with your new babies!
