1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I wouldn’t say new. I actually work at a farm store and have been working with them for six years but didn’t really get interested until recently. It’s been about two months and I’ve been pretty addicted to buying them and raising them up. Truly, I am just a novice when it comes to it and I am learning everyday!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
WELL. A lot? Prolly about 200. Lol.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Ton’s of turkeys. ( Many on Order. ) Ayam Cemani. Buff, Dark, Light Brahma. White leghorn. Americana. California Whites & Tans. Smokey Pearls. Lavender Orpington. Prairie Bluebell Egger. Blue laced red Wyandotte. Blue laced gold Wyandotte. Silver laced, gold laced, blue laced Wyandotte’s. Bantam Silky. Polish. Golden comet. Midnight majesty maran. Amber link. Asian blacks. Rhode Island Red. Turkens. And just a LOT more. Haha. My sister and I are getting a farm together, along with my wife.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching them grow and holding them. Best cuddles in the world.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am a digital artist and I enjoy photography on the side. Reptile hobbyist.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Well! My family and I are always helping each other out. We have TONS of pets! My wife and I have a Siberian Husky Mix. German Shepherd/ Doberman mix. And a little chihuahua mix dog. We also care for a reptiles ( Snakes. ).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
My sister actually did. And it helps me learn more of the aspect of my chickens.
