(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got some eggs from a friend to incubate last summer
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 laying hens (my rooster is gone), but I also have 6 5-week old 'pullets' and 5 2-week old 'pullets' (innocent until proven cockerel ;-),
(3) What breeds do you have?
Barn yard mix, although both my hens have easter egger looks.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Companionship! I just love my chickies
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live alone, and have no other pets
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have know about BYC for about a year know, ever since I started keeping chickens. I finally wanted to be able to contribute.
