Hi I’m from Massachusetts and I have 5 (down from 6, sadly) chickens. They are all Black Sex Links because I did some research and found that they are apparently weather-hardy chickens which is obviously important for this climate. This is my first time raising chickens and they’re about 8 months old and they each have such silly, unique personalities! One of my favorite aspects of raising chickens is spending time with them, but fresh eggs are nice, too! Some of my other hobbies include coding and cds. My family includes: parents, an older sibling, a silly dog, 3 fish, about 7 sea snails…and 5 chickens, obviously. My occupation is nonexistent but I do have school and homework. (7) Before and during the current period of owning chickens I have been doing a lot of research online and many of the search results include threads from BYC so I thought it might be nice to join.
